Executing tasks Jakarta Governor Basuki Tjahaja Purnama (Ahok) said letter requesting the dissolution of the mass organization the Islamic Defenders Front (FPI) is immediately sent to the Minister of Justice and Human Rights.
"The letter was drafted, I will sign this afternoon, and then submitted to the Ministry of Justice and Human Rights," he said at City Hall, Tuesday (11/11).
He said it was responding to repeated protests last FPI held on Monday (10/11).
According Ahok, a letter from the city government will be delivered to Kemenhum and human rights to be forwarded to the State Pegadilan.
"We should disband because only cause problems and disrupt traffic," he said, confirms.
According Ahok, dissolution of FPI organizations rely on decision of the Ministry of Justice and Human Rights and the Ministry of the Interior.
Both the ministry is thought to be firmly against organizations that have been troubling the people and disturb public order.
He says the right of expression is guaranteed by law, but when the action is done in ways that violence can cause damage then law enforcement should take decisive action.
Earlier, hundreds of members of the FPI CBOs back rallied on Monday (10/11) reject Ahok as governor of Jakarta. FPI rallied at two places, namely in front of Jakarta City Council Office and the Office of City Hall. (Ant)
